With the successful launch of PRAI Beauty in 1999, Cathy Kangas felt passionate about giving back, thus 'Beauty with a Cause' was born, helping animal welfare organizations around the world with a percentage of PRAI Beauty’s profits being donated annually.
In addition to serving on The Humane Society of The United States' Board of Directors, Cathy was a founding member of the HSUS National Council and chairs the HSUS Equine Leadership Council. Furthermore, Cathy partners alongside notable high profile friends like Bill and Hilary Clinton, Nigel Barker from America's Top Model and the Duchess of York to highlight various humanitarian and animal related causes globally.
Most recently, Cathy was the recipient of the 2012 HSUS 'Compassion in Action Award' for her wonderful work with animals.
